Today was the day that idols were met.. well, sort of. At Madame Tussaud's where the wax figures of the celebrities of all favourite movies, sports, government and even the royal family. There were many poses and mocking of the stars and it is fair to say a ball was had! From Juanita kissing Daniel Craig to Jessica finding 'true love' in Shrek the day started off successfully. As Ms Kelly had planned to give us some free time to browse the souvenir shops, if it weren't for Jake and Tom who couldn't find their way out of the museum, we would have had plenty more time.. After browsing and making a fool proof game plan, Kym and Gemma had set out to hustle the shop keepers into the giving the best prices possible. "If you girls came here everyday i'd have to shut the shop" was the shop owners own words as Gemma drove a successful hard bargain, but we had to wrap it up fairly quickly in order to catch the underground train to make it to Buckingham Palace.
What a sight?! Buckingham palace seemed to be the place to be, the fence of the palace was packed with people trying to catch a glimpse of the guards and capture them in photos, a classic opportunity for some fairly intense 'photo bombing' at one stage there was a single file line consisting of; Gemma, Kym, Tom, Jake, Chloe and Ali where we would spot some photos being taken and walking through the back making the most wild faces you could imagine.
At the end of the day we were asked if we still haven't done something that we really wanted to do, without much thought at all Kym and Gemma said they wanted to ride in a black cab. So off they went with Ms Kelly. After seeing plenty of pink, blue and multi coloured cabs they finally hailed a black cab and went cruisin', from the YHA to Trafalgar Square and back without stopping totally satisfied them with the sight of the city's lights and landmarks lit up and on display, topping the weekend making the time spent in London eye opening and undoubtedly unforgettable.
